film and television personality, Doctor Dre is best known as the
former co-host of the international hit, MTV's YO! MTV RAPS, MTV SPRING
BREAK and star of the hip-hop murder/mystery/comedy fron New Line Cinema
directed by Ted Demme, WHO'S THE MAN?! Doctor Dre will be reuniting with Ed Lover on the upcoming horror/comedy spoof, CHICKEN HEAD, co-starring and to be directed by Tom Noonan (Manhunter, Robocop II, What Happened Was...) Dre, with his partner Ian Holt, has just signed a deal with Popular Arts Entertainment to produce a weekly cable talk show, "Doctor Dre's After Hours Spot." Doctor Dre currently stars in the feature films, "The Hustle," and its forthcoming sequel, "Hustle II: Bahamas Hustle." Dre can be seen weekly as co-host of "The DVD Report" segment with Armani Toomer of the NFL's New York Giants and reviews current films for the "Cold Pizza and a Movie" segment. He is also called upon as a correspondent and interviews celebrities such as Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon, Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Tom Cruise, baseball's Mike Piazza and tennis' the Williams Siters. All this on the nationally broadcast ESPN 2's morning show, Cold Pizza. Doctor Dre can also be heard doing his weekly syndicated radio show, "THE JUMP OFF" from FM 2 and Super Radio. The JUMP OFF is rated number one in its timeslot on Power 105.1 FM in New York. Dre, with his partner Keith Shocklee, produces three syndicated radio shows for "The Walt Baby Love Countdown" and "Kool DJ Red Alert vs. Marley Marl" for Express Radio. The irreverent comedy duo of Doctor Dre and Ed Lover are also known as the former co-hosts of the number one rated New York morning radio shows on HOT 97, Power 105.1 FM, and on Los Angeles' "The Beat" 105.9 FM. Dre and Ed have also co-authored the book Naked Under Our Clothes from Simon & Schuster. Dre has appeared in numerous television series including "Rock Me Baby(UPN)," "Fresh Prince Of Bel Aire(NBC)," and "New York Undercover(FOX).Ó His films include ÒWhite Boyz,Ó ÒGunmenÓ and "Juice." |
